Tournament Objective – 1st Day

We, the UJC-OG, in collaboration with the African Canadian Association of Ottawa (ACAO), and the Congolese Community of Canada Ottawa-Gatineau (CCCOG) are delighted to organize this tournament as part of the multicultural festival. This event aims to bring together diverse African communities in the Ottawa region to celebrate our rich cultural diversity through sport and camaraderie.

Project vision:

Our vision is to create an inclusive environment where young Congolese from Ottawa-Gatineau and other communities come together to celebrate their diversity, discover their talents and strengthen intercultural ties through sport and culture.

The objectives of this first day are:

1. Promote Unity and Community Integration: Create a platform where members of different African communities can meet, interact and strengthen bonds of friendship and solidarity.
2. Celebrate Cultural Diversity: Highlight the richness of our cultures through sporting activities, cultural demonstrations, and artistic presentations.
3. Encourage Active Participation: Invite participants of all age groups to engage in sporting activities, thereby promoting health and well-being.
4. Support Local Talent: Providing a stage where athletes, artists and artisans from our community can showcase their talents and expertise.
5. Provide an Enriching and Fun Experience: Ensure that all participants, spectators and volunteers have an enjoyable and memorable time during this event.

NB: We look forward to welcoming you to this unique celebration of African culture, where every moment will be an opportunity to strengthen our community ties and share our common heritage
